I can hear it now and see this man’s face.
‘KURT’ Cobain, a sort of anti-hero. A misunderstood Rock legend and an unreal musician. His struggle through fame and that ‘Rock life’ was obvious. I feel it almost made his music better, Edgier. A true legend in my eyes, as I grew up with and have recently become re obsessed with Nirvana's music. I had to draw him.
I wanted to keep this piece edgy, I wanted to use the tin as opposed to the brush. I knew I would have some fine detail in there with the chisel tip. I wanted to produce it on cardboard. It sounds daft but it looks sweet. The feel, the size, the general lure of the piece. I’m proud of it and I smile every time I see it. You will too 🤘🏼
