Loooooooved doing this one. Maybe cause I love NYC, maybe cause I love 50cent and maybe cause I got to use spray tins again.
An interesting process I’ve developed of creating a background, and only then deciding who goes in it. I wanted it to be NYC themed and one of my favourite rappers is from Queens New York, so fifty cent it had to be.

I wanted it to be large so it is a full-size A2 image. Created my background, sketched the outline, transferred the outline to the background. Basic colours blotted in, I wanted the (RED/BLUE) paint from underneath to shine through his cap. After that, it was just a case of the detail. Fineliner back in hand and a good couple of hours bringing the artwork to where I was happy with it.
